“RED” – Photography Art Exhibit Benefits American Heart Association

2015-2 WINDOW Exhibit2

Long Island Photo Gallery’s “RED” charity photography art exhibit benefits American Heart Association – Feb. 21, 2015

Long Island Photo Gallery will hold a charity photography art exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, to raise funds and bring awareness to the American Heart Association’s “Life Is Why” youth wellness initiative. This event, from 2-4 p.m. at Long Island Photo Gallery, 467 Main Street in Islip will feature fine art photography by more than 80 established and up and coming Long Island photographers.  All pieces on display will be available for sale for this benefit.

The American Heart Association is committed to helping our children live healthier, longer lives with education, research and public policies that effect where they live, learn and play.  The AHA funds research related to heart health and heart disease in children, including congenital heart disease.  The AHA funding for pediatric cardiac research is second only to the federal government.  Why?  Saving children’s lives is why.  Life is why.

Members of Long Island Photo Gallery are local photographers who enjoy exploring many forms of artistic expression through photography and digital application. Long Island Photo Gallery was originally established to give a voice to digital photographic art as a medium deserving of recognition.

Long Island Photo Gallery offers many events in the gallery each month such as critique nights and exhibit receptions.   This ‘member only’ gallery displays a wide variety of fine art and is open to the general public Tues – Fri from 11am-6pm and Sat. from 10am-4pm.
