“Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mike’s native turf is familiar yet mysterious. Author Thomas Wolfe once wrote, “Only the dead know Brooklyn.” That may be true, but Mike hasn’t given up trying. As a Long Islander, he’s discovered it’s more than endless suburban sprawl. Past strip malls and neat neighborhoods are light-filled vistas and surprising contrasts between civilization and nature.”
