This photographic exhibit attempts to evoke the spirit of artist Bob Ross. He encouraged millions to explore their personal creativity and ‘happy little trees’ were a foundation for many of his artistic works. In this exhibit, the displaying artists will point their creative focus to trees in all of their many forms, whether they be happy or sad trees, big or small trees, or trees standing quietly alone against a landscape or trees as part of a mightly forest.
Sean Fitzthum is a member of the Islip Arts Council and a long-time friend of Long Island Photo Gallery. Bringing Sean on to judge this exhibition was a natural choice. First and foremost, Sean is an accomplished and award-winning photographer himself. Sean is fascinated by the study of light, which is essential for creating gorgeous art photography. Every time he is out shooting, he looks to build on his study of lighting and artful compositions. It is one of the key components that keep him behind the camera in creating fine art. Sean is a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and all of our experiences prepare us for what’s next.
